"Every airliner is equipped with a fixed automatic distress beacon and at least one portable survival tag. The novelty is that the new "ELiTe" tag, according to a patented concept, becomes both portable to ensure the survival tag function and automatic to ensure the fixed automatic tag function. From September 2017, aircraft manufacturers, airlines and maintenance centers will benefit from:

• a single transmitter fulfilling the functions fixed automatic and portable survival,
• integrated antennas with optimized space requirements, - direct connection to the aircraft avionics bus (ARINC 429),
• a new generation energy block complying with the latest aviation regulations in force,
• and a display that guarantees access to maintenance and energy level information.

This innovative range of beacons is being certified to meet new international aeronautical standards.

With "ELiTe", ECA Group consolidates its market leadership position in commercial aviation with the prospect of more than 35,000 commercial aircraft to be equipped in the next 20 years.
