Armada International: ECA UAVs and UGVs Collaborate
ECA Group performed several demonstrations of its collaborative concepts of operation composed of Unmanned Aerial & Land Vehicles

ECA deepens the collaboration possible among several of its unmanned systems notably the IGUANA Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) and IT180 UAV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
ECA Group recently successfully demonstrated that collaborative work between UGVs and UAVs could bring added value to dangerous missions.
During the demonstration the IT180 UAV performed observation and threat detection tasks, in this scenario a car which entered a safety area, then the IGUANA UGV proceeded to identification and neutralisation of the target.
After identification the IGUANA UGV approached the potential threat, while the IT180 UAV kept its aerial surveillance. The IGUANA’s cameras merged their feed with the aerial view to provide the operator with a comprehensive situational awarenes to perform mission with all the elements required in hands .
IT180 UAV is a combat proven system and has been deployed by French forces for CIED (Counter Improvised Explosive Device) missions in Afghanistan and West Africa.
