ECA Group develops an UAV for industrial inspection in mountain area

ECA Group has developed an UAV solution for linear infrastrucure inspection for network companies, such as energy or transportation, as well as pre or post construction surveys.
This solution is based on a stabilized platform for proffessional Digital Single Lens Reflex camera to perform ortho photography (aerial images of Earth's surface geometrically corrected and geo referenced) on large areas of approximately 300,000 m2, in a very difficult access area due to a harsh environment conditions.
The system was tested and validated by the customer who was particularly impressed by the capabilities of the aerial vector IT180-5TH managing to keep its trajectory over a distance of about 2000 m with a vertical drop of more than 1000 m.
