Jane’s 360 : Kazakh Navy's UMIS completes sea acceptance trials
The Unmanned Mine Counter Measure Integrated System (UMIS) delivered by ECA Group to the Kazakh Naval Forces successfully completed sea acceptance trials and is now fully operational.

Alatau , the KNF's first Russian-built Lida (Project 10750E)-class mine countermeasure (MCM) vessel, will now be capable of surveying and protecting the northeastern coast of the Caspian Sea using the UMIS in an autonomous mode to keep away the ship and crew in a safer zone.
The UMIS consists of the A9-M autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), K-STER identification and mine disposal vehicles, and a single multifunction console integrating the mission management software suite.
