Shephard media : ECA Group Surface Vehicule INSPECTOR goes wireless

The new capabilities will allow the Unmanned Surface Vehicle INSPECTOR MK2 USV to be used as an intelligent docking system for underwater robot systems such as autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) or remotely operated vehicles (ROV). When an vehicle is recovered by the USV, it will be able to recharge and download data before re-deployment. 

This new capability will, in addition to faster turnaround times, also enable the underwater mission to be adapted or reconfigured while the systems are deployed.

With a large frequency spectrum - from  ultra high frequency to supra high frequency - a variety of communication architectures are possible, including point to point, point to multi point, and multi point interconnection.
