Driving training simulators - Two key contracts in the United States
ECA Group was recently awarded two key contracts in the United States, which will expand both its training capabilities and product line.
The ECA Group received a contract for its driving training simulator EF-Truck NG from a school district in the state of Kentucky, which will include specialized operation and training content specific to school bus drivers. With the high turnover rate in this industry, it is necessary to provide ongoing training and assessment to new drivers, and the customer selected ECA Group's new EF-Truck NG as the preferred platform to meet this critical need.
In addition, ECA Group was awarded a contract to provide one of the most advanced mobile training systems in the United States from one of the top 10 community colleges in the nation. This project will involve mounting four EF-Truck NG simulators inside a custom built 53 foot long (16 meter) semi trailer. This trailer is fully self-contained with generator, AC/heating, air-ride suspension and also includes a 20 foot (6 meter) hydraulically operated slide-out compartment designed to provide additional classroom training space inside the trailer. This simulator trailer will be used to train students throughout the state of Arkansas to obtain their commercial driver’s license.
