ECA Group UAV IT180 Show Week in Paris: Focus on LiDAR system integrated
From the 15th to 18th of February, ECA Group realized in South of Paris several demonstrations of its Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. In partnership with YellowScan this show week was dedicated to the demonstration of a LiDAR system integrated on the UAV IT180.

LiDAR system integrated: High precision work and top-level post-treatment
In partnership with YellowScan this show week was dedicated to the demonstration of a LiDAR system integrated on the UAV IT180. This configuration allows to perform rapid survey with high precision and in autonomous navigation. At this occasion, ECA Group team showed how a flight can be programmed before the inspection, directly from the Ground Control Station (GCS). Then, data collected are stored on a USB device for post-process. Data can also be displayed in real time on the GCS.
During the week, ECA Group team realized power line inspection. As the images below show, the high precision work of the UAV IT180 ensures a top-level post-treatment.
Equipped with a LiDAR system, the UAV IT180 can generate 3D data for high precision land survey and infrastructure inspection, thanks to an accuracy of 5 centimeters. The long endurance and communication range of the IT180 allow to realize inspection up to 2 hours in remote places. Thus, the ability of low altitude and proximity flying offer high quality inspection, which is essential for post-process. This inspection is even more precise as the UAV IT180 benefits from a high hoovering stability.
