ECA Group - Aerospace Division: A first step into the semiconductor industry

The ECA Group Aerospace division has delivered in June 2015 the first tool for production testing of micro-Batteries for STMicroelectronics in Tours. The T-Cell technology, already field proven on aerospace program such as A350, ATR and Airbus Helicopters H160, has been transposed to a new industry sector.

ECA Group Aerospace division will deliver, before end of 2015, 21 Test benches based on the T-Cell technology. The T-Cell’s high maintainability level, built ‘in testability and innovative architecture, allowing tests parallelization, are the key factors that fulfill the requirements of a 24/7 large scale manufacturing.

This know how in accurate analog measurement has been integrated into a T-Cell that meet the performances of the best metrology instruments on the market.

Each bench is fitted with 40 T-Cells allowing to test and characterize in parallel 160 micro-Batteries that will be used in growing markets of connected objects (Internet of things, Sensors and networks, Non implantable medical applications,…)
