ECA Group Naval Simulator: upgrade & expansion of training simulator system for Nautical Institute

Successfully completed Site acceptance Tests (SAT) for the upgrading and expansion of the ECA Group Simulation System Mistral 4000  in the Nautical Institute "Carnaro" in Brindisi

The Nautical school Carnaro is an ECA Group customer since the early 2000s, when the school has chose the first ECA Group simulation system and since then updated it periodically according to STCW regulation in order to maintain the high quality level of its training program.

The update consists in the installation of two ShipSim portable workstations in standalone mode.

The system is a simulator of interactive multi-functional dashboard that allows the learning of maneuvering techniques in a realistic and dynamic environment.

The ECA Group simulator is a compact cost-effective, but complete solution simulating any type of navigation and maneuvering in different environmental conditions.

The system includes all the elements required by the STCW 95, allowing following types of training:

• Radar / ARPA,
• Navigation
• Maneuver
• Electronic Charts

The ECA Group Simulation System is fully compliant with STCW Code 95 and is designed to cover a wide range of current and future objectives, with particular attention to the training objectives, research and operability.
