ECA Group to supply a Mistral 4000 Bridge Simulation system to an Indonesian Maritime Academy

ECA Group has won the tender launched by Sapta Samudra Maritime Academy  in Indonesia. for the supply of a Mistral 4000 Bridge Simulation system 

The Institute, a new ECA Group customer, is an important Maritime Training Academy, established since 1993 in Indonesia, whose aims at training professional seafarers. It offers maritime education and delivers a wide range of Maritime training courses.

The proposed ECA Group solution is a simulation system type Mistral 4000 certified by the Italian Navy Register as compliant with the STCW 2010 Manila amendments and by Det Norske Veritas as compliant with the DNV Standards.

The system is composed by one instructor station that allows generating and controlling the exercise, one main bridge for realistic bridge team training and three student consoles equiped with virtual bridge for basic single operator training.

Mistral 4000  is an interactive multifunctional bridge Simulator allowing the learning of maneuvering techniques in a realistic and dynamics environment. The high flexibility of the system offers an accelerated and intensive experience in a safe and controlled environment risk, free emergency response training and interiorizing of shipboard procedures.

In order to maintain the high quality level of its trainees, the proposed solution can be later upgraded based on users’ experience and customer’s training needs, giving to the Sapta Samudra Academy the possibility to perform advanced training for professional seafarers in the near future.

Next steps will be the installation and the acceptance test of Mistral 4000 Simulator System expected for January 2018.
