Upgrade of ECA Group simulation system for Naval Academy in Livorno

The bridge simulation system, based on ECA Group MISTRAL 4000, has been used for more than 15 years to train cadets and Officers of the Italian Navy. Generation of future Commanding Officers have started their careers in the Naval Simulator rooms, training in a realistic virtual environment on the use of navigation radar, the use of naval communication equipment, procedures for communications at sea, basic and advanced ship maneuvering, principle of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.

With the integration of new modules in this bridge simulator, Italian Naval Academy will be equipped with the last version of maneuvering console, based on the new FREMM Frigate layout. Cadets and Officers will have the possibility to train on the future of equipment they will use while on board of the most modern ships of Italian Fleet.
