"ECA Group has just won a € 7 million contract with a Ministry of Defense in Asia to supply Degaussing systems  and magnetic measurement systems that combine the UAV IT180 drone and the STERNA® system.

Control over the magnetic signature of a vessel and the effectiveness of its signature reduction system is of essential in the fight against landmines at sea and in the ability of a ship to evolve near a minefield. The objective is therefore to reduce the magnetic signature of ships.

Equipped with a magnetometer integrated with its digitizer, the drone flies over the ship to carry out a horizontal mapping, the data obtained are analyzed and the parameters of the demagnetization calculated."
