ECA Group announces contract for ASTRID - Divers Tracking and Monitoring System

ECA Group was awarded a contract for the supply of its ASTRID solution, a diver’s tracking and distress monitoring system in Republic of South Africa. This system is intended for diver’s training and safety.
ECA was awarded its first contract with Armaments Corporation of South Africa SOC.Ltd (ARMSCOR) for the supply of the ASTRID solution dedicated to the diver’s tracking and distress monitoring.
This contract aims to deliver the system in 2017 and includes a training. This solution will provide to the final users to enhance their diving safety and will improve their teaching solution by an accurate monitoring system.
ECA Group's ASTRID solution is a positioning and distress monitoring system used for diver’s safety. It has been specifically designed to meet the needs of diving schools. ASTRID enables to secure diving operations in real time by accurately tracking several divers when operating in open or obstructed waters.
ASTRID performs enhanced functions such as management of distress signals, generation and transmission of recall signals, and guiding of rescue.
