ECA Group to provide Pipe Cruiser, a robotic system for sewerage inspection in Middle East

All over the world, the sewer lines must be inspected whether for preventive actions or for detection of anomalies (cracks, clogging ..) in the network, thus permitting a regular flow in the sewer, and avoiding spillage into the environment.  

ECA Group has been awarded a contract for the delivery of an exhaustive Pipe Cruiser system. 

The system will be used by a Public Water and Sewerage operator based in Middle East and will permit the inspection of sewers pipes and drawing a diagnosis of hydraulic and structural conditions of networks.

ECA Group was selected thanks to its know-how and to the system performances, meeting the client’s requirements. The reputation of the distributor in this region was also an encouraging element. 

The Pipe Cruiser system is a modular robotic system for inspection of pipes from 150 to 2000 mm allowing multiple configurations according to the diameter. It allows to draw a precise diagnosis of internal conditions of networks. ECA Group Pipe Cruiser solution is operable with a swivelling head TV camera equipped with zoom and mounted on a multidirectional trolley. It is also able to supply pipe slope and deflection measurement in real time.

The delivery of the ordered system is expected by the end of June 2017, and will also include the training of the future operators within ECA Group premises in France.
