Jane's : Kazakh navy commissions first Project 10750E minesweeper and fits it with UMIS system

Kazakhstan's navy has commissioned its first Russian-built Lida (Project 10750E)-class mine countermeasure (MCM) vessel.

Named Alatau, the vessel entered service with the Kazakh Naval Forces on 1 June in Aktau..

The Kazakh Naval Forces's new MCM vessel, will be equipped with ECA Group Unmanned Mine Counter Measure Integrated System (UMIS), among other things.

The UMIS consists of the AUV A9-M autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), K-STER for identification and mine disposal vehicles, and includes a single multifunction console integrating the mission management software suite.

The system is designed to cover MCM operations ranging from the initial seabed survey, through target detection and classification, down to final identification and neutralisation.
