Navy Recognition: ECA Group awarded a significant contract for French Navy’s PAP subsea demining rob

The amount of this contract has been  depending on utilization frequency but will be over 4M€ and 8 M€ maximum. In 1977, ECA Group delivered the very first mine disposal vehicles PAP to the French Navy which should remain in service till 2025.

The robots will be progressively replaced with the delivery of the future demining systems that the French Navy will order in the coming years after the results of MMCM programme..

ECA Group is one of the major players within this program, and as such had successfully demonstrated its Unmanned Mine Counter Measure Integrated System (UMIS) in June 2017 to the Belgium and Netherland Navies which plan to replace their conventional minehunters with systems of drones a few years before French Navy.
