At EUROSATORY 2018, ECA Group, which offers state-of-the-art robotic solutions dedicated to defense and security missions, presented its entire range of terrestrial robots dedicated to the fight against terrorism, counter-insurgency or combat operation for security.

The range of ECA Group's land robots - COBRA MK2 E, Cameleon E & Iguana E. - is specifically designed for rapid deployment in difficult and dangerous areas. These different robots are an integral part of the explosive charge elimination (EOD) process; they provide protection for staff and awareness of the situation. Their function is to carry out vital missions of reconnaissance, inspection and elimination of explosive devices (EOD).
IGUANA, landmine robot of last generation
Iguana E carries out reconnaissance, inspection and EOD missions. Its role ranges from location to the neutralization of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), landmines and other types of explosives such as booby-trapped vehicles.
Made of composite materials, this UGV has one of the best weight / performance ratios on the market. Its high performance mobility and architecture (narrow width, four independent flippers and extended arm) allow access to tight spaces.
Compact and modular, the latest generation of IGUANA is dedicated to interventions in places difficult to access such as aircraft cabins, train or on buses to ensure inspection and intervention on suspicious luggage .
IGUANA is a robot with electric motorization of 50 kg with a payload of 40 kg. It can be equipped with multi-axis arms with extended capacities (6 or 8 axes), it has 2 day / night color cameras. With a horizontal reach of up to 1.8 m and a vertical reach up to 2.8 m, IGUANA can lift up to 20 kg with a stamina of 2.5 hours and a maximum speed of 6 km / h.
This robot will equip the French Armies: ECA Group has won a contract worth more than € 30 million for the supply of land-based robots (IGUANA) for demining at the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
