One step further into technical collaboration between ECA IT180 UAV and Yellow Scan LiDAR system

Further to the technical collaboration between ECA Group and Yellow Scan LiDAR manufacturer, ECA Group team presented its robust and differentiating UAV IT180 airborne drone platform in combination with the Yellow Scan system to multi-disciplinary attendance.

Attendance was made of specialists of various fields including Forest Management, Environmental Research, Cadastral Planning, Powerline Inspection and Unexploded Ordinance (UXO) Survey.

Among all unmanned systems, including multi-copter drones and other airborne tools such as helicopter or light planes, the UAV IT180 offers an unmatched collection of performances, allowing long duration and cost-effective LiDAR missions, even in adverse weather conditions.

For instance, operating the UAV IT180 in conjunction with a LiDAR system enables to map power lines and their vegetation vicinity at impressive resolution, allowing utility Operators to ensure optimum power network quality to their customers over time.

Endurance and proximity flying capabilities of the robust and field proven IT180 platform allow to access structures that are difficult to survey with other types of UAVs, or with less agile systems such as helicopters or light planes.
