ECA Group's Explosion proof TV camera DTR 120 EX becomes Full HD

The video surveillance of industrial sites generating an explosive risk environment, such as petrochemical plants, gas storage and transportation units, offshore platforms, drilling rigs or drill ships, silos… require the use of TV cameras that are ATEX certified as explosion-proof, meaning they cannot cause an explosion.

In most cases, the zone to be surveyed is large, hence the TV cameras must offer a panoramic viewing and have to be integrated in a network.

Thanks to ECA Group's 20 years of expertise in the Explosion-proof inspection market, the group has acquired a top level know how which permitted to propose to the market with the DTR 120Z Ex, a zoom, colour, panoramic viewing camera with viewing head placed inside an hemispherical dome, thus avoiding the traditional heavy and bulky pan and tilt unit.

DTR 120Z Ex is a night & day Ex colour TV camera with 18x zoom and swivelling head allowing, in a network configuration and thanks to an embedded IP server, the surveillance of a large hazardous areas like an offshore platform or a petrochemical plant.

ECA Group has released the latest development of this camera with a full HD 1080p version which offers, on top :

• A built-in IP server / Power Over Ethernet / Onvif S
• A dome/tilt/rotate hemispherical viewing
• A 30x optical zoom (focal lens 4.3 to 129 mm)
• A night and day function

Main application of this new camera will be the surveillance of industrial sites presenting an explosive risk.

Furthermore this TV camera is also waterproof IP 68 - 5 bars, which will extend its scope of applications
