Within the framework of a 3-year worldwide coral collection campaign to check the status of the deep coral reefs surrounding waters, The Monaco Oceanography Institute selected ECA Group to deliver a H800 ROV.

Within the framework of a 3-year worldwide coral collection campaign to check the status of the deep coral reefs surrounding waters, The Monaco Oceanography Institute selected ECA Group to deliver a H800 ROV.
This ROV was specifically developed to operate at 1000 meters depth according to the requirements expressed by The Monaco Oceanography Institute.
The H800 ROV is equipped with:
- a sonar,
- an acoustic positioning system with 3 transponders,
- a 5 function electric manipulator arm
- a motorized 6 compartments special receiver, able to store the coral sample and its surrounding water.
The delivery, commissioning and the training of the operators of the ROV took place early 2017.
